Young Voice makes young people's views heard. They aim to promote the rights of young people under the UN Convention on the Rights Of the Child.

There are a number of resources available to purchase from their site www.young-voice.org, including:

  • Where is The Love - 'a project undertaken in partnership with Surrey Youth Development Service to work with young people to address violence and controlling or manipulative behaviour in the dating relationship. So many young people are not equipped to recognise and deal with this behaviour. Young people have raised the issue and led this brave and innovative work to produce a pack that is very popular with PSHE teachers and youth workers. A best seller in 2006 this pack is now the subject of an evaluation study funded by the Big Lottery' http://www.young-voice.org/projects.asp?ID=32

and

  • Stop Hitting Mum - 'Children's experiences of living with domestic violence and the type of help they want. "This is a touching very readable account of fear and pain, stoicism and bewilderment, desperation and jope. Out of the mouths of children comes a troubling indictment of the grown-up tendency to look away and not become involved" http://www.young-voice.org/publications.asp#14
