Making an impact: children and domestic violence. Update 2003.

Barnardo's, NSPCC and University of Bristol, 2003.
ISBN: 0902046977

This publication builds on Making an impact: children and domestic violence - the original training resource for those working with children affected by domestic violence. This update incorporates some of the key legislative and policy changes since 1998.

This new supplement looks at:
*                        The Human Rights Act - helping practitioners deal with seemingly conflicting rights
*                        The Data Protection Act - giving confidence about what information can be shared to ensure the safety of children and adults
*                        Working together - examining how cross-agency practice and the Framework for Assessment critically underpin the safety of children and trusted adults in their lives.
A Northern Ireland Reader and Training supplement is also available.

This resource was produced by a partnership between the NSPCC, Barnardos and the Domestic Violence Group of the University of Bristol, and was commissioned by the Department of Health.
